Have you ever wondered how Santa knows who is naughty and who is nice?
How could he possibly watch every child’s actions all year? Well, he doesn’t, Gorbals do!
You probably have never heard of them, but Santa uses these magic little creatures to create his Naughty or Nice list.
They hide in your Christmas tree and around your home to keep a close eye on you and your family.
This magical story also helps children understand that seeing problems from different perspectives is important and will save Christmas for one little boy...
"I will tell you what exactly a Gorbal is in good time, but for now, let’s just agree that they are round like a snowball, with long arms for hanging, and are about the size of a small apple. They are perfect for hiding in a well-decorated tree..."
"Christmas would not exist without these round little creatures. You would wake up on Christmas morning with no presents from Santa if they didn’t hang in your tree. Go take a look in your Christmas tree this year. You probably won’t see them because they are masters of disguise and can hang still for days if they want to."
Here is something that is very important for you to know. A Gorbal will slowly change color throughout the year as long as they are happy. They will change from a brown or a green to a bright color. I am sure you can guess what makes a Gorbal most happy? Shall I tell you? It is good children.
Hello there! My name is RT Manywisch. I was born in England and grew up in Weston-super-Mare, which is a lovely little seaside town.
I am a professor, an explorer, and one other thing, I work for Santa Claus!
Ever since I was not much older than you, I studied animals. Even at the age of five, I started exploring the garden looking for bugs, mice, and all kinds of creepy crawlies. On my fourteenth birthday, which just happens to be on Christmas Eve, I was traveling with my parents to Scotland. There I saw a creature that would change my life. I only got a quick glimpse out of the corner of my eye, but I knew what I saw, although I could not explain it. Today, I know it is called a Gorbal. They are magical little things.
From that day, I have traveled the world researching all things Christmas, and let me tell you one thing. The stories are real! They do have an origin! There was a beginning, and if you will permit me, I would like to tell you about them.
Have you ever wondered how Santa gets his magic? I am sure you have. How could he possibly deliver presents to all the children in the world? The magic is given to him by Ester, his wife.
Ester's story is never told, but she is the reason Christmas exists...
